National Certification Exam - Bureau of Energy Efficiency has conducted yearly National Level Examinations since 2004, for Energy Managers & Energy Auditors certification. The essential qualification for a Certified Energy Manager and Certified Energy Auditor would be the passing of a National Level Certification Examination, which will be conducted under the aegis of Bureau of Energy Efficiency. The national level certification examination, conducted by a National Certifying Agency, will establish a uniform criterion for the certification of energy managers/energy auditors and will also ensure that services of qualified persons, having the requisite knowledge on the subject, are available to the industry - Guide books ; Exam |

Painting Competition under National Campaign on Energy Conservation - NCEC The Ministry of Power has launched the National Awareness Campaign in order to promote energy conservation in the country. Painting competition for students at the School, State and at National level has been included as one of the activities of the campaign, which would not only make aware the children about the need of conserving energy but at the same time would educate and involve their parents as well in the above cause. The identified activity is one of the measures, which can help in creating awareness in the domestic sector. The children studying in the standards 4th , 5th & 6th will be eligible to participate in the painting competition

Energy Conservation Measure Compendium - The data collection and analyses in this second volume are based on the energy efficiency measures implemented during the year 2007-08, and reported to the Bureau as part of the Energy Conservation Awards Programme. This volume compiles and analyses a set of 100 implemented industrial energy-efficiency best practices. The aggregated impact has been expressed in tons of CO2 mitigated over the assumed life cycle of the measure. The reported measures include investments in efficient boilers and cogeneration systems, recovery systems for waste heat, pipe insulation, and improved housekeeping. All of these measures are cost effective in terms of achieving energy savings with relatively short payback periods. Volume2 |

CFL Lighting Scheme - Bachat Lamp Yojana- a CDM based CFL scheme is an innovative initiative put in place by the Central Government to enhance lighting efficiency in the Indian household sector by making Compact Fluorescent Lamps available at prices comparable to that of Incandescent Lamps. The scheme seeks to leverage the high cost of the CFLs through the CERs generated out of the project. - BLY |

Standards & Labeling - Under the BEE’s Labeling Program, appliances are rated on a scale of 1 to 5 stars, with the most efficient carrying a 5 star label and the least efficient carrying a 1 star label. ENERGY EFFICIENCY LABELS MANDATORY FOR FOLLOWING EQUIPMENTS FROM 7th JANUARY 2010 a) Tubular Fluorescent Lamps b) Room Air Conditioners c) Distribution Transformer d) Household Frost Free Refrigerators. (Time limit for display of Labels - within a period of six months from the date of coming into force these regulation, 7 July 2009) - S&L |

Energy Conservation Building Codes /
Energy Conservation in Buildings Star Rating programme for office buldings to accelerate Energy Efficiency - This Programme would rate office buildings on a 1-5 star scale, with 5-Star labeled buildings being the most energy efficient. Energy Conservation Building Codes - The Government has introduced Energy Conservation Codes for commercial buildings Scheme for Star Rating for BPO Buildings- ECBC |
