NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION AWARDS are given to selected Industrial units who have made systematic and serious attempts for efficient utilization and conservation of energy. Bureau of Energy Efficiency coordinates the Energy Conservation Awards scheme of the Ministry of Power. The Awards were given away for the first time in December 14, 1991
1. Excellence Award - The industrial unit eligible for Top Rank Award for 3rd year in a row would be given the highest prize, namely "Excellence Award" (instead of Top Rank Award) in recognition of its consistent performance. 2. Top Rank Award - An industrial unit getting the First Position for the third year in a row will be eligible for a "Top Rank Award" for that year. 3. First Prize - First prizes is proposed to be given in each sub-sector in the form of a gold plated trophy, bearing plaque with appropriate citation on such awards 4. Second Prize - Second prizes is proposed to be given in each sub-sector in the form of a silver plated trophy, bearing plaque with appropriate citation on such awards 5. Certificate of Merit - The third prize will be in the form of “Certificate of Merit”
